Whether you or your child has AS or NLD, you are probably concerned about employment and career. Parents, even of young children with LD, express concern about what the child will “do” as an adult. Yvona Fast’s book Employment for Individuals with Asperger Syndrome or Non-verbal Learning Disabilities is a great resource for all people who have these worries. Part of the book is stories from people with NLD or AS who have found careers. Part of the book is strategies for helping you find a career for yourself or your child.
As with other things for us, there’s no one size fits all and the author doesn’t pretend there is. But she does give a lot of great guidance so that you can find a size that fits you.
